MessagEase - keyboard for the devices equipped with a touch screen
August 19th, 2007MessagEase is an alternative keyboard for the devices equipped with a touch-screen.
The main feature of the device is a possibility to write without using a scriber and the letter keys are so big that we can easily use our fingers to choose a letter. I have been testing the application for 2 days and I already know – I’m going to buy it, since the one I have is a 2-month trial version.
Here is a screenshot from my HTC comparing a regular keyboard and MesagEase:
I’ve easily mastered my typing skills and I am convinced that it’s only a matter of time when I manage to type without looking at the screen just as I do it on the computer keyboard. For writing I use my thumb only and I have to say it’s quite convenient, because, while holding the PDA, that’s the only finger having the entire access to the screen. Clicking, moving the letters up and down, from right to left – all this makes it possible to choose other mark or function, because MessagEase provides also such functions as : go back, copy, paste, Page Down, Page Up and many other, which we can define.
Unfortunately, the service doesn’t provide Polish fonts with Pocket PC, which is not a big problem, because I rarely use Polish fonts while sending an SMS or email from the mobile phone.
